The Vienna Anthropocene Network in cooperation with APRI is organizing a two-days event about “Vanishing Ice”, dealing with the physical and social dimensions of climate change and melting ice.
The panel discussion “Das große Schmelzen – Vom Schwinden des Eises im Klimawandel” will take place in the Naturhistorisches Museum Wien on Tuesday, January 21st, from 6 pm. The panel consists of several APRI researchers and will be held in German. You can read the full program here.
On Wednesday, January 22nd, the event continues with the workshop “Vanishing Ice – Human and natural impacts of a changing cryosphere”, that will take place in the Aula at the Campus of the University of Vienna from 9 am to 5.30 pm. The anthropologist Tim Ingold will give the keynote entitled “Melting in and out of history”. You find the full program here.
